Dr Gibson’s practice is an Accredited Dental Practice undergoing regular reviews to maintain this standard.
Dr Nova Gibson is an internationally trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon with qualifications in both dentistry and medicine from the University of Melbourne. She is a member of The Royal Australia College of Dental Surgeons (OMS), completing eight years of postgraduate training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Children’s’ Hospital, Monash Hospital, Austin Hospital and Alfred Hospital. Dr Gibson also spent an additional five years of training the UK, including at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford as a Fellow.
Dr Gibson currently holds a position as a consultant surgeon at the Austin Hospital. She is a regular lecturer for general and specialist medicine organisations nationally and internationally, as well as an examiner of dental students at the University of Melbourne. Dr Gibson was Supervisor of Training for Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons at Austin Health. She is a also reviewer for the British Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
